11.12.17 Seniors: Gudja beat Swieqi in crucial encounter
Swieqi United suffered their second loss of the season as they succumbed to a 0-1 defeat against a solid Gudja side at the Sirens stadium.
The all important goal was scored after 20 minutes, when a corner was met by a powerful header that hit the back of the net.
Edward Gatt had a man-of-the match performance for the Orange, crucially saving Swieqi on three occasions, and the Orange could have scored had they not spurned two great opportunities near the end.
However, the Blues held on to claim a deserved victory, with Swieqi left ruing the absence of several key players through injury and suspension.
