27.05.16 Season Review 2015/2016 - Futsal
A new league format beckoned for Swieqi futsal during season 2015/2016. The first round saw all teams facing each other, with Swieqi have an overall positive round to reach their season objective of ending up in Malta’s top 6 and thus securing their place in the elite round.
Whilst the elite round proved a tough challenge to the men in Orange, the owls responded great to the challenges, suffering minimal defeats against the mighty Luxol, Hamrun and Valletta, earning a respectable draw against Lija and beating Msida.
Despite changing coach once the season had already commenced and losing a number of key players along the way, the futsal squad showed that by playing as a team anything could be achieved. One could definitely see the unity in the team, with the players, coaches, technical staff and club officials unity as one formidable team.
