Last Sunday saw an early wake up call for both sets of teams and officials who descended on a sun drenched Siggiewi pitch for another game in Section B.

Some players were still yawning from a rude awakening when the referee blew his whistle to start the match, however players soon sprung into action which saw a decent opening few minutes for both sets of teams. 
Whilst Kirkop dictated possession, Swieqi had the better chances but found an inform goalkeeper who kept his team in the game.
With seconds to half time, Kirkop found themselves a goal up when they capitilised on some uneasiness in the Swieqi defence.
Not to be undone by the set back, Swieqi emerged for the second off wanting to settle the score, but once again Kirkop rode their luck and added a second goal. 5 minutes into the second half and Swieqi goalkeeper Jake Zammit had to be replaced by player Paul Mercieca due to illness. Towering in the goal post Paul had a great game keeping his team at bay. Swieqi players ventured forward to find a goal and were soon rewarded b a beautiful goal by Ben Giles. A surge from his own half saw Giles run through the Kirkop defence, dribble a couple of players and place the ball in the top corner, rendering the Kirkop goalkeeper helpless.
Swieqi were definitely boosted by such goal and went on the hunt for an equaliser but found a solid defence and alert goalkeeper that earned Kirkop 3 points.
