After a long break, the young owls were back in action at the Sirens stadium on Monday night. Three points were up for grabs but Swieqi came out on top against Gzira United. Within the first ten minutes the orange scored two to pile instant pressure on Gzira. Goals coming from Luca Borg who was just returning from an injury spell, and the second goal was an own goal after a mix up in the Gzira penalty box which saw the ball ending up in the net. Martin Grech made it three to give Swieqi United the edge and go into half time 3 – 0 up.

In the second half Gzira started to fight back an in form Costa pulled 2 goals back to make it 3 – 2. The young orange kept up the tempo and Nicholas Schembri sealed the win with a fantastic shot. Next fixture for the U-19 team is against Birzebbuga at Marsaxlokk Ground on the 21st of March.
