13.10.15 Seniors register second win.

Buoyed by their recent performance against Zurrieq, Swieqi United faced up to Mgarr at the Luxol Stadium. Welcoming Guilherme Calado to the team sheet, the Brazilian made his intentions clear early on when his corner was neatly flicked by Jean Claude Borg and an unmarked Matthew Asciak powered home a header to make it 1-0. A few minutes later, Swieqi went close through Kane Micallef before Kenneth Ekezie doubled the scoreline on 20 minutes when he latched onto a pass by Matthew Asciak who had overlapped on the right hand side.

Jonathan Briscoe White went close from outside the box and at the other end, keeper Sam Bartolo saved well after coming face to face with Mgarr's striker. The second half started well for the Orange with Swieqi dominating possession. Mgarr were reduced to 10 men after a vicious tackle on Daniel Calleja Cremona before the Northerners began to impose themselves more on the game. Some sloppy passing by the Orange gifted Mgarr plenty of chances and the Greens did hit the post in the last minutes. Nicky Schembri also went close for the Orange but a cool and composed performance ensured Swieqi gained another crucial 3 points.
