27.04.14 Swieqi vs Sirens - 2 encounters, 2 draws
Swieqi United came close to ending Sirens' unbeaten record when the Orange conceded a goal right at the death. Kenneth Ekezie had opened the scoring for Swieqi after 8 mins and Robert Magro came agonizingly close to make it 2-0. Sirens won a penalty right before half time which Giovanni Galea converted but Omar Smeirmade it 2-1 5 minutes into the second half. Disappointingly for the Orange, lack of concentration led to Sirens grabbing an equaliser with 2 minutes of injury time left. Sirens celebrated their unbeaten status with scenes of jubilation all over the pitch.
As for Swieqi, it was a cruel end to the game but the Orange can hold their heads high as on both occasions this season, they've emerged unbeaten from Sirens encounters. What made this result all the more impressive was the amount of injuries which had decimated the Swieqi camp in recent weeks - which however left the Orange unfazed and unrattled.
