04.02.14 SUFC Seniors move 9 points clear in 2nd place
Swieqi United kept up their good form with a fine 3-1 win against a gritty Qrendi side. Fabien Debono scored after 20 minutes when he latched onto Abner Dos Santos' cross, whilst the same Dos Santos then doubled the score with a powerful shot on 35 minutes.
Fabien Debono then made it 3-0 after the break before Qrendi countered quickly to reduce to the deficit. The Orange nevertheless defended resolutely to maintain their 2 goal advantage and ended up seeing off the game quite comfortably.
